Single color linoleum cut. It is difficult to tell from this photo, but the ink used is a dark metallic silver. It sparkles when light falls across the image. This was a Yule card and the image depicts Santa during his formative years. Years later, after much experimentation, he would adopt the far more efficient flying reindeer and streamlined sleigh that is still in use to this day.
